P-square Is Lost And Soundcity Is Dirty

P-square Is Lost And Soundcity Is Dirty
Editor’s note: The issue between the PSquare brothers and premium music channel, SoundCity, may have taken a new shape as many entertainment critics give various sides of their analyses, stating what they make of the situation in which the entertainers turned down an invitation from the music company to perform at an event. Henry Igwe, Naij.com’s editor, highlights some points drawn from the furore.
SCity and Psquare

Taking a stand on the recent spat between PSquare and SoundCity is hard for a host of obvious factors.
There are reasons that make the issue appear ludicrous on many levels, looking like a mere play to the gallery and both parties shying away from the truth.
Let’s rewind to when PSquare was nobody and had to rely on the benevolence of major media platforms to get heard on interviews and airplay. Take it to the point where they are today and you see that the duo would have done a sizable amount of a$$ kissing prior to hitting A-list status.
It is against this backdrop that one looks at the duo and expects that they be duly regarded in matters as the most recent SoundCity whatchamacallit.
It is true that the brothers turned down an invitation to play at the company’s annual gig in December, 2014, because SC wasn’t ready to cut the cheque duly, an action that led to their videos being cut off the channel’s playlists, the very reason for our analyses today.
In retrospect, it is easy to say that the brothers erred by refusing to honor a major medium as SC.
