National Assembly Election: Bukola Saraki, Three Others To Know Their Fate Today

The Legislative Houses Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, will today deliver judgement in a petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the March 28 Kwara Central Senatorial poll, Alhaji Abdulrahman AbdulRasaq against the election of Dr Bukola Saraki of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PDP’s candidate in a petition marked NAT/LEG/EPT/IL/2/2015 is challenging Saraki’s victory, claiming that he won majority votes and he should be declared winner.

On the whole, the Justice Josiah Majebi-led three-man tribunal will be delivering four judgements, it was gathered.

Other matters to be decided by the tribunal include Lola Ashiru Vs Rafiu Ibrahim (Kwara South Senatorial District), while two others, Babatunde Olusola Vs Olufunke Adedoyin and Tajudeen Abioye Vs Tope Olayonu, are House of Representatives cases.
