Tragedy In Enugu As Man Machetes Father And 8 Other People To Death Enugu State Police Command has commenced investigations into killing of about nine persons in Ehamufu Isiuzo Local Government Area of the state by a man identified as Onyekachi Ugwu of Ngelefi from the same local government. It was gathered that the suspect, who is now at large, had gone to the Ngelefi farm settlement where different families, including his parents reside, at night and allegedly used machete to kill his father and afterwards set the house ablaze.  His action also left his father’s house, domestic animals, motorcycle and other household materials burnt. Not accomplished by his action, the suspect further visited other houses at the settlement where he also used machete to kill the occupants, including a year and six-month-old baby in one of the houses at the settlement. There is, however, fear and apprehension in the entire area as the search for the suspect, believed to have mental problem continues. Search for the suspect is intensified by the combined team of the police and the Neighbourhood watch group, who are combing bushes and suspected hideout of the suspect. Source; Daily Sun
