OMG!; See What An Angry Family Did To Doctors And Nurses After Their Baby Died In An Hospital. Photos

Tensions between doctors and patients in China resurfaced in a recent case when doctors and nurses at a hospital in north China’s Henan Province last Saturday were forced by a deceased baby’s family to stand in a pillory while holding the baby who died after failed emergency rescue.

The conflict exploded after the baby got a high fever and died during treatment at a public hospital in Taikang county of Zhoukou city. The family blamed the baby's death on the doctors’ malpractice and insisted they should be held accountable for it, according to a report by Beijing Times.
The family also accused the hospital of tampering the baby’s medical record to evade punishment, but government inspectors refuted the claim after preliminary investigations. The baby was diagnosed with respiratory tract infection, sepsis and cerebritis after being admitted to the hospital on the night of September 26, and then died on the noon of September 27, according to the county government’s public information department.
The Beijing Times reported that the enraged family abused and beat up the medical workers. They also forced the doctors and nurses who treated the baby to take turns to hold the dead baby in a public pillory at the hospital gate, under banners reading “no respect for life, give back my son”.
Local police have detained four of the family members, and the dispute has come under technical appraisal for medical negligence, reported Beijing Times.
